CLIFF SWALLOW HAND-CARVED LINOCUT ILLUSTRATION ART PRINT BY ANNA SEE

$12.00

This piece is inspired by the cliff swallows that make the annual migration from Argentina when they take flight in throngs to Mission San Juan Capistrano, California. This event is celebrated with a festival and this iridescent blue, brown, and white bird is depicted in this linocut. This piece looks great in any space and would be a great gift for a SoCal home near where the birds flock. It is part of a series of wild birds which can be seen in its entirety on this site.

It is created with multiple hand-carved linoleum mounted wood blocks, one for each color with as many as six. The colors are mixed and rolled out and printed by hand via careful burnishing. The finished result is unique and original with no two prints being alike.
