Though its not quite a Thanksgiving turkey, this unique looking bird still has many of its characteristics, which lend to its name, Turkey Vulture. Hence, its place on my Fall Picks, along with its fall, harvest-like colors of sage green, dusty brown, and orange and golden ochre accents. The original limited edition piece of art would look great framed in the dining room come Thanksgiving or in any room year-round. This turkey vulture is part of an ongoing art series depicting wild birds and is a signed print of a limited edition. The original is created with multiple hand-carved linoleum mounted wood blocks, one for each color with as many as six. The colors are mixed and rolled out and printed by hand via careful burnishing with a metal spoon. The finished result is unique and original with no two prints being alike.
